Italian churches.

We can spot among the richest churches in the world the Italian ones. In fact they represent the artistic tradition that marked the European countries in general throughout centuries.

When you’re inside a church , you start asking yourself whether you should look at the paintings , at the sculptures , at the ceiling or at the floor , at the marble or at the statues….. see for yourself ! almost every church has got them all.

Can you guess which corner is better ? or you might prefer looking at the top ?Yes guys I know how to be directionally confused .

Lets see if your eyes got used to Italian art….. do you like those two paintings ? I guess you will have to look back because they are not paintings . these are painted walls.

Now that’s another astonishing phenomenon. Can you see how men manipulated stone on the upper part of this column? Even God has contributed in this piece of art through directing his solar spotlight on this marvel.

And that’s Saint Marco’s church in Venice. One of the proofs that true men existed centuries ago.

That’s Saint Marcello in Via Del Corso in Rome. As you can see there is a different painted scene in every square or division. I left my heart in that church and promised myself to go back there again.

No comments . that’s simply Jesus who saved us.

Scenery from Harissa.

If you stand in any area of Harissa’s mountain you can see Beirut as it apprears but the eye can't get such an effect that can be obtained with a slow shutter speed using a professional camera.

That’s the Jounieh’s marina , as you can see it’s taken on a faster shutter and therefore looks more realistic in terms of luminosity. You can still see the boats of the fishermen in the sea .

And that’s our beloved city Jounieh with it’s wonderful water reflecting the lights. And if you stare well , you can see Jbeil behind Adma.

Italian fountains.

The Trevi fountain is simply astonishing. You could admire that piece of art for hours. That’s what I did.

The most interesting thing is that you can be in touch with art even when you are in a rush.
Can you guess which fountain looks nicer ? .....
Neither do I . Just try to appreciate each one apart . Italy is full of those .

Jounieh's Moonlight.

Here we go, could you imagine that the moon would look as shiny as the sun? well , that’s what appears in some of the pictures I took!

On the other hand nothing can match the authentic moonlight that has charmed many artists through centuries.the picture speaks for itself.

A tribute to Gebran Tueni.

December 12 2005 , a very bad day in the Lebanese history , Syrians have striked again in Mekalles area . it seems that the president Bashar Assad is out of ideas on how to deal with the international crisis related to Syrian terrorism that has been affecting Lebanon a year from now.We deeply sympathize with the Tueni family and we ask our government never to rest before bringing these criminals to justice.

This picture was taken from Gebran Tueni's Site . it's the new oath that unifies lebanese people since the Hariri's car blast on February 14th 2005.

As we can see Gebran on the 14th of March 2005 , he has always been The Leader of Democracies during the darkest times of the Lebanese history.

THIS PAGE WILL BE UPDATED IN PARALLEL WITH THE EVENTS RELATED TO GEBRAN TUENI'S CASE.

UPDATE 1: 17 - 12 - 2005 .
This man said those classy and poetic words:
"So now every time that a dog dies in Beirut there will be an international investigation?"

To The Permanent Representative of Syria to the United Nations his Excellency The Ambassador Faisal Mekdad
we reply as a Christmas greeting:

Merry Christmas and see you soon in court.

Harissa enchantment.

This picture was taken in November 2005 , as you can see it was a sunny day so I thought I could benefit from this colorful sky!It was taken with my Canon EOS 350D camera with the 18-55mm lens on.

That one was taken in Harissa in October2005 , with my co-pilot and friend Renato. the same Canon EOS 350D was used with the EF 18-55mm lens.
