A tribute to Walid Akl

One of the rarest Lebanese who knew how to reveal their country's true identity.
Unfortunately Lebanese people tend to honor wealthy people and forget geniuses.
Walid Akl is an international concert pianist with a very prestigious C.V.
Such an impressive performance and a musical intelligence rarely reached.

One can easily notice that he and his instrument merged together to generate sentimental perfection.
He was so keen to reflect "BEAUTY" in his works and performances and never forgot about aesthetics.
Such a gentle touch.

Elegance is not only heard through his music but seen in his hands. That's what is called noble playing.

For those who knew Frederic Chopin, will quickly see the astonishing resemblance between walid and him.

This man was the perfect artist, well cultured, a general knowledge and a sense of humour that cannot be met nowadays with newer generations.
If you look at Walid from behind you can see the philosopher, the genius and the divine part in the human being.

Walid, it is true that you don't belong anymore to this world. It is also true that your country of origin forgot about you despite your efforts of embellishing its name in the world.
We manifest our dissatisfaction to notice that your country did not know how important you still are, and on the other hand our pride to see that your concerts are still on international channels.

Be sure my friend that you will remain in our hearts, in our minds, in our souls and in our lives. Thank you for being part of our existence.

You are right Wolfgang, they say Lebanon doesn't deserve his children!
